Rebound

U.H.S cleaner restorer repairs, cleans and produces wet-look floors.
Extends re-coating cycle, increases slip resistance.

Background on Product Development

All floors with heavy traffic, whether maintained with standard speed or U.H.S equipment will require regular recoats of finish, depending on the frequency of “cleans per week” and the type of equipment used. This is expensive.

It has been proven that U.H.S equipment (usually LPG) extends the time between re-coats because it compacts the floor finish molecules and has the burnishing power to repair scratches and marks that cause loss of reflective gloss and eventual film destruction. The greater frequency of burnishing the less the abrasive the pads required to remove ingrained dirt and surface markings. A further extension is made to polish life and big gains are made in gloss with the new generation JACKAROO LIGHT . These low abrasion pads lead to even less finish being removed.

Whilst spray cleaning and burnishing with conventional spray buff products do assist in repairing of marks, it removes excessive amounts of sealer, plus there is the problem of locked- in dirt on edges if mopping is not completed prior to spray burnishing in heavily soiled situations.

The Rebound Concept - We Believe It Is the Answer

REBOUND is not a spray buff; usually these are made from a mixture of floor sealer finish polymers and detergents with drying agents.

As the floor finish manufacturers try to reduce the polymer particle size in their polish so that it forms thin, tight and level (glossy) films, those very same polymers are totally wrong for maintenance or restorer products as the particles are too small and too much polymer is required to fill surface gaps, scratches and marks in the surface. Because there is an excess of polymer required, it is thrown up on edges to create buildup and dirty marks.

New Rebound Swollen Molecule Rhetology

Rebound is a breakthrough because it dramatically reduced the frequency of recoating floors that are maintained periodically (2 or 3 times per week). It also reduces the need to pre mop or autoscrub medium soiled floors. It also may be used on daily burnished floors only requiring a bi weekly application.

How does it work?

It works by using lower quantities of polymer but these have been chemically (Rheologically) modified and allowed to swell up to eight times their regular size. Totally useless for floor finish but perfect for spray restoration these polymers fill gaps, cracks and gouges as well as surface imperfections with eight times less polymer.

With fewer polymers we can restore surface smoothness with less buildup, better gloss and more “room” in the formulation for cleaning ingredients and drying agents.

The larger polymer size fills and restores cracks and scratches faster. There is no need to double pass with burnishing equipment, it does it in one pass and does not require mop applied restorers or recoats with floor finish until the surface has worn away.

Summary of REBOUND advantages.

  • Effective cost saver – with up to 70% saving in floor finish and floor finish application labour. See graph
  • Up to four times longer between recoats. If you were recoating weekly this may extend to monthly.
  • Produces spectacular “wet look” gloss on any floor finish using propane or electric U.H.S equipment.
  • Works especially well on hard floor finishes like FILMSTAR, GLAZER and SUPAGLOSS 3000.
  • “One pass” spray restoration with U.H.S equipment REBOUND does not work with low Speed equipment as it requires heat to fuse the surface polymers together with the restorer polymers. SHINER is the low speed alternative.
  • Utilises new technology GLIT floor pads. Softer floor finishes require BEIGE or BUCKAROO pads, harder floor finishes require JACKAROO or CHAMPAGNE pads under your U.H.S equipment.

Directions

Rebound is not a heavy duty cleaner; it is a gloss and surface restoration product. On normally soiled floors REBOUND can take the place of a neutral cleaner once to a maximum of twice per week through the scrubber. It should not be used if floors are heavily soiled. Use SUPASTAR or NEUTRACLEAN neutral cleaners.

Autoscrubber Application

You can experiment with REBOUND as an alternative to your regular detergent on a once or twice weekly basis. It improves buff response on normal dry buff days.

Start at 1 to 25 parts water instead of your regular detergent. Experiment on dilution, every floor is different.

Dilution Spray Buffing

Heavy restorative spray burnishing. With deep scratch removal.

1 to 6 parts water

Medium to light soiling on floors with low gloss 1 to 15 parts water

Dilute REBOUND to the required performance level and jet or mist in front of machine whilst you burnish or walk the aisle first and mist the second pass area to the side as you walk forward. You don’t need three hands for this as practice will make perfect. There is no waiting time for REBOUND, just spray and burnish.

When you burnish with U.H.S the gloss response, mark removal and increased slip resistance will be dramatic and incredible. You won’t believe the results.

Safety

Be careful, always wear non slip soled shoes when spray buffing as the solution can be slippery when wet.

First Aid

Swallowed: Do not induce vomiting, give glass of water.
Skin: Remove wet clothing and wash skin thoroughly.
Eyes: Hold eyelids open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes. See a doctor if symptoms persist.
